Re: crosstool 0.28rc36 'glibc-vfp.patch'

Can you folks have a look at glibc-20040827 and verify
whether this patch is still needed and useful with that version?

It's even needed for glibc CVS, AFAICS.

The patch hunk which modifies glibc.new/sysdeps/arm/bits/endian.h
(currently at version 1.4) is only needed for proper VFP operation.

But the hunk which modifies sysdeps/arm/gmp-mparam.h, and the hunk
that deletes sysdeps/arm/ieee754.h (yes, this IS correct), are needed
for proper operation of *any* FP model on big endian ARM.

Let's get ready to get this into glibc CVS if in fact it's
really a good patch for everyone.

Seems fine to me. How do we submit it?

I'll split the patch into two pieces as you suggest for the next snapshot. If that works for everyone, then I'll send the core patch (that doesn't have anything to do with VFP) to the arm glibc maintainer.

Thanks,
Dan
