Using Crosstool on a slow connection

Is there a way to tell crosstool the files it is looking for are in a
certain directory? And is there a way to get a list of files it is wanting.
I am on a dialup connection and already have most of the files crosstool is
needing and don't really want to spend the next couple of days waiting for
crosstool to download all the files again.
