crosstool-0.28-pre11: a few cygwin and sparc64 fixes

pre10 was pretty good, demo.sh ran fine for me on both linux and
cygwin. My goal for 0.28 is "runs a hetrogenous distcc build cluster fine".
Won't be too long now...

Again, this isn't a release, just a snapshot on the way to a release.

ChangeLog since pre10:

0.28-pre11 23 Mar 2004
     newlib:
     * added contrib/newlib2, files from Harry Kaes, who successfully built
       gcc-3.3.2/newlib for mips

     portability (e.g. to cygwin):
     * avoid using $PWD, since that's a bashism that's not part of the POSIX shell

     sparc64:
     * patches/glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2/glibc-2.3.2-sparc64-sigproc.patch

     misc:
     * added demo-common.sh to show how to build distcc

Known issues:

One user had trouble with a partial download; maybe I'm
not checking the exit status of wget properly, now that it's in
a shell function? Fie on shell functions, anyway :-)

Still haven't fixed glibc-2.1.3 on macosx and x86_64.
Still haven't fixed x86_64 self-cross.
