Doh -- this is a cross-compiler, not an arm-native compiler :-) Of course I can run: /cross_toolchain_path/bin/arm-arm9-linux-gnu-gcc -v or /cross_toolchain_path/arm-arm9-linux-gnu/bin/gcc -v on the PC running Linux :-) Ok, am looking into writing a little script that generates the versions of the components that crosstool used to generate the cross toolchain...
