I don't use it either, btw. I run Linux and Solaris, and only do basic compatibility testing under Cygwin when I know a customer will run there.

I've found that a toolchain build takes something like 10x times longer under Cygwin than Linux or Solaris, all the while subject to Win32's crankiness...

Don't get me wrong, I think Cygwin is a great product for some people. Just not me. :^)
