Upgrading gcc, binutils, newlib.

Hello,
I'm installing crossgcc on another computer, and was wondering about what
versions to install? I'm using Redhat 7.1 as my host, and m68k-coff as my
target. Redhat 7.1 comes with binutils-2.10.91.0.2, and gcc-2.96-20000731,
along with over 50 patches. Should I use these? Do I need all the patches? I
also just downloaded newlib-1.9.0, anyone had any problems with it?

Thanks in Advance,
Larry Gray
