Sure, if you are not doing that, you'll have all sorts of problems. Also, you mentioned that SDS does not support gcc's -g feature, so you are debugging assembly code. I'm using gcc-2.95.2, binutils-2.91, and newlib-1.8.2 with the SDS 7.5 debugger, and it works fine (MPC8xx processor). The debugger understands the elf output file and I can debug c source code (haven't tried c++). Pete ------ Want more information?
