If you look only for a debugger: DDD is the answer. If you want an IDE, i.e., an integrated debugger/editor/code browser/version control, you could have a cheap and not so proprietary IDE from Cygnus: Source Navigator (Linux edition have a different name that I cannot remember). Others that I know little: - Sniff++ Penguin Edition: I know that Sniff++ is a very powerfull and complete IDE but I don't know really this special edition. If anybody have used it, I would love to hear COMMENTS. - Metrowerks: pretty damn bad for a commercial IDE: proprietary / poor functionalities / poor support for international keyboard... - Code Crusader: pretty damn good for a free IDE.
