Hi to everybody, I am trying to build crossgcc under cygwin32 B19.1 for PowerPC. The BINUTILS building passed O'K. The problems started already while running configure script: ............... checking whether calloc must be declared... no checking whether free must be declared... no checking whether index must be declared... no checking whether rindex must be declared... no checking whether getenv must be declared... no checking whether sbrk must be declared... no checking for sys_siglist declaration in signal.h or unistd.h... no .Using `../gcc-2.8.1/config/rs6000/rs6000.c' to output insns .Using `../gcc-2.8.1/config/rs6000/rs6000.md' as machine description file .Using `../gcc-2.8.1/config/rs6000/sysv4.h' as target machine macro file :Using the following host machine macro files gcc-2.8.1/config/i386/xm-i386.h/.. gcc-2.8.1/config/i386/xm-cygwin32.h/.. cd: lstat /d failed Links are now set up to build a cross-compiler for powerpc-rtems-elf from i586-pc-cygwin32. not updating unwritable cache ./config.cache creating ./config.status sed: can't read confdefs.h: No such file or directory creating Makefile creating cp/Makefile creating auto-config.h cd: lstat /d failed After all those errors there are no Makefiles created in build directory. May be my problem is that I didn't apply any patches? (I use gcc 2.8.1, do I need patches?). How all these "cd: lstat /d failed" may be eliminated under cygwin32? How this problem with sed may be fixed? Any remarks/ideas will be highly appreciated. Thanks ahead. Dr.Leon M.Pollak Director PLR Information Systems Ltd. E-mail: leonp@plris.com
