Try  ftp://ftp.lpr.e-technik.tu-muenchen.de/pub/bdm/gdb-4.16-bdm-patches.tgz.

I was able to build gdb-4.16 with no problems.  Also, I believe there is
an elf binary for Linux in the same directory, as well as some 
schematics for a bdm parallel port adapter.
