+1.  I was going to suggest this direction too.

If the above isn't clear, IMHO we could always find some clearer
text.  For example [1]:

    "Too many instructions for bundle in format '%s': #instructions = %d, #slots = %d"

(maybe with a \n\t after ":" if this is too long.)

[1] - Assuming I understood the code correctly.
