hppa-hpux deprecation in gcc was already suggested.
But I think John David Anglin (in CC:) still maintain it.  Is that correct ?

Humm, not sure about XCOFF (powerpc aix).  XCOFF certainly support gc-section,
but not arbitrary named sections.
