I guess not completely, since there's no ld-elf/tls_gc.s in my checkout.

Oops - fixed. Sorry.

But... even if the code was there, is this test supposed to be run for cris-elf which has no binutils TLS support?

Yes, because it does not use compiler based TLS support, just a section flag.

When I ran the test locally for the cris-elf toolchain it passed.
