Hi Nick,

Thanks a lot for the reply.  I will investigate building binutils to target
elf32-i386 directly.  I will also put together a small test case.

I think that you may be right.  (I assume that you cannot go back to the
sources and just recompile using an elf32-i386 target ?)

Perhaps though you could supply a small test case so that we could look
into the issue further.
