It seems to fix it for me: the _DYNAMIC and _PROCEDURE_LINKAGE_TABLE_
errors both disappear.

(Nice patch, too, cleaning up a bit of duplication...)

I'll update the Debian and Ubuntu bugs when the patch goes in.
