Re: MIPS Assembly.

Thiemo;

I see your point, although I am not at all familiar with this bit of
code at all. I only knew what my exact symptoms are and how to reproduce
it.

I don't want to be like a patient who's eager to try the latest pill
'just because it makes the symptoms go away', but I don't know how much
more time I will have to devote to investiaging this "kernel module"
symptom off into "mips-gas" land.

I would file a bug, but would probably not be able to fully explain what
is going on as well as you seem to be able.

Dan Kegel and the crossgcc team do want to see a patch go into binutils
if this is possible, but I don't think I would be qualified to tackle or
champion that project.

I'll report my findings when I eventually get all my systems back and
running and try to load this module, in addition I will keep up to date
here and at cross-tool to see that this patch (or a better sol'n) gets
put in.

Let me know if I can be of any help in any other way.

Cheers,

   -=chris
