Well, 2.14 worked on mipsel-linux. I believe multigot support worked
as well but my tests were cursory.



Agreed. I also never saw an error rebuilding the toolchain.



Were you building java language support? The errors are not obtained with just C,C++.

There may be other problems running java programs on mipsel-linux, but the GOT overflow in linking libgcj.so.4 obviously happen before this is an issue.
