Re: Patch Fix H8300 relax

Hi Paul,

Thanks for submitting a patch to fix this problem. Unfortunately there
is one problem with it and a couple it-would-be-nice-if extras:

  1. We need an FSF copyright assignment before we can accept the
patch. In case you want to do this I am attaching a application
form at the end of this email.

  2. There appears to be several other places in the
elf32_h8_relax_section() function where similar changes might be
needed. It would be nice to know if they are needed there, and
if not, to add comments mentioning that they are not needed.

  3. The patch should be accompanied by a ChangeLog entry specifying
     what it does.

  4. The linker testcase ld/testsuite/ld-h8300/ ought to be extended
to check the problem that you ran into, and any others that you
     can think of.

Cheers
        Nick
