Using Binutils to view source code?

Subject: Using Binutils to view source code?

Hello all

I'm currently messing around with the BFD, to get it to recognize a new file 
format. I was wondering if it was possible for one one of the tools in 
Binutils to show the source code from an out-file?. The GDB does this when 
debugging, and uses the BFD - I just don't know which part does the actual 
source view, but it would be nice if binutils could :-D
