truth values


Some could argue this is a style issue, but I find expressions like

if (some_boolean_function () == true)

annoying.  There's always that little nagging doubt that perhaps the
function returns something other than 0 or 1.  When modifying the
code, to say, invert the logic, you need to at least check the
declaration of some_boolean_function.
