Ulrich, correct me if I am wrong. What Ulrich meant was you could
use Linux binutils to compile .o for Solaris/x86. The other way
to look at it is I can can compile for Linux under Solaris/x86,
using the same ld/as on Solaris/x86 as long as I use the head files
and the C library from Linux. Unless I have to use a different ld/as
for Solaris/x86 and Linux/x86, I don't see we have to change anything.

BTW, we, Linux, make some effort for this to be true.
